Bread Pudding

Saturday evening we had our monthly meeting in Colleyville TX in the home of Steve and Christina Barnard. Ninety-five people were squeezed wall-to-wall in their family room. What a joyous time as we ate and fellowshipped together!

Before Bev and I shared, Christina shared what the Lord had given her. She had felt the Lord instructing her to bake a very elaborate bread pudding which she had baked on two occasions prior to this. She was reluctant to do so since it required so much planning and preparation and intricacy in the baking process. She finally acquiesced and the Father gave her this word which she felt was for me but felt intimidated to give it to me. She shared the story and asked, "Who loves bread pudding?" I responded, "Yeehaw!" and she shared this word that the Holy Spirit had given her. As she shared the word, it touched me so profoundly so that all I could do was weep in gratitude and love for Papa. I share it with you without further comment.

Our daddy loves you so very much he prepared something very special for you tonight. Just as a dessert recipe has planning, preparation and measuring, so did you. Exactly according to plan, nothing added, nothing taken away.

Just as a great recipe has 'bake time,' so do you. When you enter a room when something is baking, you can smell that something wonderful is being prepared. The same is true with you - those around you know "Something wonderful is in the making." Don't be discouraged or impatient during the bake time - it's part of your recipe.

When a dessert is complete it is ready for presentation and enjoyment, just as you are. He says you are sweet, rich, decadent and pleasing to Him, just like a wonderful dessert.

So...taste and see that the Lord is good.
